Frontline Therapist’s as a volunteer counsellor/assessor from 2021 – 2023 - which is a BAME focused service working with individuals and couples all over the world.

Betterhelp - Worlds largest therapy service - as a counsellor since 2023

Training and Approaches:

Approaches I have been trained and/or experienced in: solution focused, systematic, person-centred, narrative therapy, psychodynamic & play therapy, gestalt, psychoanalytical, art therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), behavioral, CAT (cognitive analytic therapy), creative, existential, humanistic, jungian, psychoanalysis, photosynthesis, transactional & transpersonal.

Most counsellors, decide to become counsellors because of our own experiences, difficulties, journeys, processes and ways of thinking also believing that we have the capacity to provide and hold a space for others allowing growth, learning, clarity, understanding, healing and a place to express, explore, think and speak, confidentially, safely and without judgement.
I understand diversity, hardships and simply being a person in this difficult and testing world but feel there is beauty in our difference and can all learn from sharing, talking, communicating, asking questions, being curious and effectively thinking which can take place in therapy.

Counselling in my own words, is some of what was described as above, and may happen using various tools and ways, adapting to every unique individual to help client’s accomplish and progress, grow, develop and work on what has been brought by them to therapy. It provides a space allowing you to reflect and not only focus on the external but also the internal aspects of yourself and your life, past, future, present, also the different dynamics and possibilities and so forth within them. Moving forward hopefully benefiting from therapy which may or may not help you throughout life as life, the world, society, people, ourselves are forever evolving and changing/adapting.

I aim to provide affordable counselling, also trying to change the stigma surrounding therapy especially within the BAME community. Doing all within my professional capacity to help those heal and develop themselves, also normalising and encouraging expressing yourself within the therapeutic space but at your pace. This world is very tough and can be lonely and cold, many people lack in support and a safe or comfortable space to express themselves, I provide this space and hope to show people that there are very caring and passionate professionals who do believe being there for, supporting and helping others helps the world go round and should be more of a priority as we are in fact ‘humans being’, not doing which doesn’t come with a guide so struggling, making mistakes, getting stuck or lost at times is ok, this is a place to work towards or hopefully find yourself.
